Surface Damage on Concrete
We get a lot of calls asking if we can repair surface damage on concrete or "spalling". The damage is usually caused by moisture getting in the pores of the concrete and begins to damage the surface. If you live in a climate with freezing temperatures, the moisture will freeze and expand; this will "pop" the surface. Other causes can be the use of salt or ice melt during the winter. Once the surface is damaged it is very difficult to repair without ripping up and replacing. This expensive and interruptive process could have been prevented in the first place if the surface were sealed with a quality sealant. Defender Concrete Solutions offers NexusPro sealant. NexusPro is different than typical box store sealants which are usually "topical". NexusPro actually penetrates the surface up to a 1/4", absorbs in and does not have to be reapplied. Most topical sealants will have to be reapplied each year. Defender will come out, clean the surface and apply NexusPro so you don't have to buy/rent a power washer and application products.
